Explorer is a ‘heavy’ Gypsy Vanner - heavy both in terms of conformation and feathers. He has the very ‘heavy boned’ conformation of his sire, and has a beautifully well laid back shoulder, a perfect gypsy 'apple butt' and is well balanced. Both his sire and dam are extremely heavily feathered Gypsy Vanners, and Explorer seems to have inherited that double dose of excellent feathers. Explorer is Registered with the Gypsy Vanner Horse Society. His dam is a 1/2 sister to Lottery (his momma and Lottery have the same dam), so he offers an opportunity as a stallion to double up on the mare line which produced Lottery. Explorer has been handled since birth and is very people oriented. He is a genuine stallion prospect with temperment, bloodlines and conformation to offer. He is now weaned, and we have been playing in the indoor nightly, offering an opportunity to observe his movement; he has a beautiful rocking horse canter and a trot promising of a nice Dressage prospect. We've been working in hand since weaning and Explorer is wonderfully responsive and attentive. He is currently turned out with the whole gypsy herd, including his sire, and gets on well in the herd.
