Sophie is a 10 year old grulla registered Friesian sport horse mare. See a copy of her ped in the pictures on our website. Her dam is a grulla APHA mare & her sire is a Friesian. Sophie is in foal to our cremello roan gypsy vanner stallion. She is due May 1st. She is a great mother who has had several foals for us over the years & she's never had any foaling complications. A majority of her foals have been grulla. This foal can be registered with the gypsy registry as well as the Friesian sport horse registry. Her foals tend to mature about her same height. For more info on the sire of this foal see Shay on our stallions page. Sophie was born here & I showed her quite a bit in hand when she was young. My kids & I got her green broke to ride as a 3 & 4 year old & when she was 5 we sent her to a professional trainer for 30 days but I will be honest she has sat & hasn't been ridden ever since. We each have our own riding horse & eventually my girls graduated from 4H & ended up in college so she just never got used. I liked her to much to sell her so I used her as a brood mare in my gypsy breeding program for the past 5 years. She has amazing foals several of which are doing well in the show ring, one of them has taken multiple championships. I am selling her AS IS because she is going to need a refresher under saddle to get her going again & right now my arena is an ice rink & by the time it warms up a bit she will be getting ready to have her baby. Also due to a back injury I'm unable to do any training or much of any riding anymore the past few years. I will be happy to provide the info for the professional trainer I sent her to if anyone has questions but otherwise I am selling her as a brood mare & if someone wants to get her going under saddle again in the future that's great. She never offered any bad behavior under saddle so after a refresher all she really needs is miles. When she was getting ridden here in her early years it was just around the yard or some arena work she never had a consistent job where she was ridden regularly except for the month she was at the trainer. She's well behaved, no vices or health issues & stands well for farrier. She has a great personality & enjoys grooming & attention. I have taken her & her foals to some local events the kids have for 4H & FFA meet & greets & she does well with that kind of stuff. I do have her foal listed for sale in utero also so if we get a deposit on it or she foals in May (which ever comes first) I will keep her for now, this is just a temporary 2 for one deal. I do love her & really hate to sell her & I've been mulling on this one for awhile but with the kids in college & me wanting to cut back on my breeding program I've decided if the right home comes along I may be willing to let her go. Vet checks are welcome at buyers expense.
Sorry no trades or I'll keep her.
